Legal terms
Membership Service Agreement
1. Agreement Term & Billing
Memberships are annual agreements spanning a continuous 12-month term, billed in twelve (12) equal monthly instalments in Canadian Dollars (CAD), plus applicable federal and provincial taxes. Monthly fees are charged automatically on your designated billing date via our secure payment gateway.
2. Service Allowances & Scope
Included visits and services are delivered in accordance with your selected membership tier (Basic, Advanced, Pro, or Elite):
- Turf Care: Scheduled during the regional growing season (typically May 1 to October 31). Mowing includes perimeter line-trimming and blowing of hard surfaces.
- Winter Snow Clearing: Active during the winter season (typically November 15 to April 1). Each membership tier includes a seasonal allowance of up to 20 snow visits for driveways and front walkways triggered by measurable accumulations.
- Cleanups & Shrub Trimming: Scheduled visits include up to 2 labour-hours per visit. Properties requiring clearing beyond this limit are estimated in advance.
3. Exclusions
The following items are excluded from standard membership rates and must be quoted separately:
- Salt and ice-melt materials (available on request, invoiced per application)
- Materials including mulch, topsoil, sod, seed, and replacement plants
- Major landscaping, hardscaping, grading, or tree-removal construction
- Excess work beyond included seasonal visit caps or 2-labour-hour limits (priced separately upon approval)
4. No Silent Price Changes
If lot dimensions, slope, or property condition require an adjustment to the starting price after staff review, Titan Turf will never bill you silently. The revised price and the specific reason will be presented in your portal or by email, and your agreement is activated only after you explicitly re-accept the quote.
5. Additional Work Authorization
Any request for work outside the scope of your selected plan (such as excess snow visits exceeding the 20-visit allowance, tree removal, mulch installation, or emergency storms) requires an explicit digital or written approval before execution.
6. Cancellation & Transfer Terms
Memberships may be transferred to a new property within our confirmed service areas or reassigned upon property relocation with 30 days notice to our dispatch desk.
Part II: Private Dog Walking Service Agreement (Draft)
Governing standalone monthly private dog walking subscriptions.
1. Service Scope and Session Duration
Each scheduled walk is a private, one-on-one 60-minute neighborhood walking session. Walker travel time to and from the customer property is separate and never deducted from the dog session. Dogs from the same household may walk together upon enrollment with an additional dog surcharge.
2. Mandatory Meet and Greet
An in-person meet and greet is required prior to service commencement. This session verifies equipment fit, dog temperament, gate and home access procedures, and route safety. Titan Turf reserves the right to decline or waitlist any applicant if safety standards cannot be satisfied.
3. Vaccination and Health Disclosures
The client warrants that the dog is current on Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccinations or holds a documented veterinary medical exemption. The client must disclose all known medical conditions, medications, allergies, and behavioral traits including reactivity, bite history, leash pulling, and door bolting risks.
4. Emergency Veterinary Care Authorization
In the event of acute illness, injury, or animal altercation during service, Titan Turf is authorized to transport the dog to the designated clinic or the nearest open veterinary hospital. The client agrees to be solely and fully financially responsible for all veterinary expenses incurred.
5. Home Access and Security
Access codes and lockbox keys are stored with application-level encryption at rest and revealed only to the assigned walker during the scheduled arrival window on the service day. Access codes are never printed in logs or sent via email.
6. Cancellation, Rescheduling, and Unused Walks
Walks may be rescheduled or cancelled through the customer portal with at least 24 hours advance notice with zero credit forfeiture. Cancellations submitted within 24 hours of the arrival window consume one walk credit. Included monthly walk allowances expire at the end of each billing period and do not accumulate or roll over.
7. Severe Weather Policy
During extreme heat alerts, severe cold, thunderstorms, or ice storms, walks will be adapted for canine safety. Outdoor walking time may be shortened with the remaining session time spent on indoor enrichment and care, or the session may be rescheduled with no loss of walk allowance.
8. Additional Walks
Extra walks outside the subscription allowance are priced at $35 CAD each and require client confirmation. Extra walks are never automatically billed without explicit prior approval.
9. Photos, GPS Telemetry, and Data Retention
Verification photos taken by walkers are stored in private storage accessible only to the customer and dispatch staff via temporary signed URLs. GPS route tracking, when enabled, samples coordinates strictly during active walks with a 90-day retention schedule, after which route coordinates are purged and only distance and duration totals are preserved.
10. Liability and Incidents
Titan Turf disclaims warranties not expressly stated herein. Titan Turf does not represent holding bonded or third-party background checked certifications beyond internal vetting standards. Any canine altercation, property damage, or injury will be documented in a formal incident report filed with dispatch and shared with the client.
11. Subscription Hold or Termination
Either party may terminate or pause the dog walking subscription with 14 days written or portal notice. Unbilled upcoming periods will not be charged.
